Firmware for IPdio tune
« on: 07:38:31 | 14 March, 2013 »
Hello.

I have DNT IPdio Tune with firmware version v257 a865 a263 b017.Radio reports that new firmware is available. What number version firmware is available for download ? Can I  know about the changes before proceeding with the download ? I posed these questions to the manufacturer, and received the following response: ..."to supply the device has the B011-version ... By upgrading to the standard version ...-b017. In both versions, there is no difference in the function. Other upgrades we are not currently known". Does anyone have any information about new firmware?

Thanks.

Your DNT is basically the same tuner as a Grace model - http://www.gracedigitalaudio.com/tuner-wifi-ethernet-radio-tuner-gdiirdt200-p-91.html.  From the remote controls section at http://www.gracedigitalaudio.com/tuner-wifi-ethernet-radio-tuner-gdiirdt200-p-91.html it can be inferred that Grace are up to at least v257-a-865-a-410-a-041.

Rather puzzling that the DNT radio and DNT themselves disagree about a later firmware being available.

What Product Code does your DNT show?

The original version of the Grace tuner runs v257-a-865-a-410-a-042.  The Grace tuners with the updated dongles and chipsets now run v266-a-113-a-510.

For my IPdio Tune, under reciva.radios where the Beta Box used to be there is no" Legacy enhanced firmware - Disabled". My current FW version is showing:
v257-a-865-a-263-b-017.
Is this still the beta, or the standard on I should have at this point in time for a Tune bought in Europe?

It's not the beta - that would be v257-a-865-a-476. Both my Tunes have the Legacy Enhanced Firmware option showing in My Radios.

Hi Dog,
So if I untick the "Disabled" box the beta will install?
Thanks,
K

If my memory serves me correctly, when you click on 'Disabled' you get a message saying that your request has been submitted (or some such words). Then you have to wait for Reciva to enact the change and let you know (email and/or 'Disabled turns to 'Enabled'), and then you can ask your radio to update the firmware.

I'm interested in a newer firmware but dnt did not support one. The reciva beta for the tune is bugged and play mp3 as static noise. Here are my data, maybe the tune titane is ready for grace?
