Title: Clear Channel stations are GONE
Post by: ccarmichael on 19:02:13 | 07 July, 2014
My radio: CCrane WiFi (original)

I listen to KFI/Los Angeles and a couple of other stations in the Clear Channel chain

I asked the folks and here is the reply.

Unfortunately we were not able to add your station to the database. We and other station aggregators have had to remove the Clear Channel stations from our main list at their request due to the fixed-term license running out.

The stations may be re-added to the database in the future, and as a result put on the radios, but only when Clear Channel give their permission for us to do so.

If you own a Grace radio, however, they have an iHeartRadio Service which provides the Clear Channel stations separately from our main list.

Regards and apologies,

CSR Stations Moderation Team

This text is the default answer for each request of an iHeart station - used already by Reciva's station management. No relation to the Reciva/CSR change.

If you are interested to listen to KFI by means of "My Streams" here is the URL:

I tried to add that using "My Streams" and was denied. Which is too bad.

I tried the URL on my radio and it works OK. And I am in Europe! Is your radio registered at Reciva? Note not to add any leading or trailing spaces to the URL. What will you say with "denied"?

That stream also works here in the UK.

Added wdgerber's stream to "my streams" and it works for me here in the USA.

It seems that iHeart Radio has changed all its streams to AAC+ v2 which is compatible with the v266 firmware only - not with v257 and v265. This means that all older Grace radios do no longer play iHeart stattíons.

I have an older IR1000 with Ver 257 firmware.  No clear channel stations!  Is there any way to upgrade firmware?  Thanks.

Realistically, no.  See drgeoff's comment here http://recivarefuge.net/forum/index.php?topic=1702.msg15600#msg15600
