LMS causing WMP to write thousands of AlbumArt-xxxxx_small.jpg files in music folders.

Just asking my LMS guru, but does LMS lead WMP to this behaviour? Or does LMS do this itself?

I never run WMP, but wonder if LMS uses it?

It's playing havoc with my backup application :(

No idea how to fix this.  As far as I know LMS doesn't interact with WMP.

But:

There's a plugin setting for upnp/dnla which could be causing WMP to pick up the album art from LMS.

Go to Settings - Plugins - Active Plugins - UPNP/DNLA Media Interface.

Uncheck.

You need to restart LMS to enable the change.

If that stops the bad behaviour, then it's a bug in WMP, I guess.

Being a LMS-fanboy, I can't really admit it's a bug in LMS!!!

Anyway - try the above.

Maybe WMP (as a upnp player) caused the other issue you had with upnp2squeeze?

Err .... I think it should be unticked as it's ticked by default when LMS is installed (I think)

Okay - let's see what happens, then.

Don't forget you have to restart LMS to activate the changes.

Well, so far, that seems to have worked.

Who knows why???

Next. Can I access the server from outside the LAN?

Upnp voodoo?

You can access the server from outside - but not exactly sure how to do it.

That page is out of date about dyn.com - not dyndns.com any more.   More importantly they stopped all their free services some time ago.
