I've sent an email to addstation@reciva.com  .

Maybe that will work :)

radios.reciva.com and click on "Manage my radios" (near the bottom of the page).

If the radio is not registered, add it.

Then click on the serial number and look for the "Legacy enhanced firmware" line.

I'm afraid firmware has been disabled ?

On that page I get :

Quote
Radio details

Serial number: 000097e7 Radio icon

Radio name:   Morphy Richards 27025

X   Switch to daylight savings time automatically

   Go to standby after powercycle

X   Display station metadata

 UPDATE   the settings above.

REMOVE   this radio from your account.

Back to the main page.

Strange.  Other postings in http://recivarefuge.net/forum/index.php?topic=1574.0 indicate that the legacy enhanced firmware was still to be had just a few weeks ago.  Maybe it is closed to people who were not signed up while the "beta programme" was open.

If you try the Sharpfin route, there is some useful info in  http://recivarefuge.net/forum/index.php?topic=1531.msg14369#msg14369

Yes, that option is only available to those who were signed up for the "beta" programme.
However, you could try to persuade Reciva to do you a favour. (See here.)

No response from Reciva :(

I've looked at the Sharpfin project and tried to install the patchserver.

I installed Cygwin first.

When I run the patch server (ver. 0.7rc3) it responds with :
'Server www.pschmidt.it responded with error 302'

oh dear :(

from : http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E302.html

Quote
If the Web server does not return an alternative URL with the 302 response, then either the Web server sofware itself is defective or the Webmaster has not set up the URL redirection correctly.

Any pointers ?

I haven't needed to Sharpfin a radio recently.  From what I remember, once the required files had been downloaded to the local PC, the Sharpin installation process only accessed that PC so I was puzzled by the error message about www.pschmidt.it.

So I consulted the pdf which now says of the (new) patchserver: "The program will now connect to the internet, and download a list of available patches."  Clearly these must come from www.pschmidt.it.

So if you have followed the instructions to the letter (including heeding the 'Stop Services' section at foot of page 2 and have no firewall issues) the the server at www.pschmidt.it has a problem.

If getting nowhere, suggest you revert to the old way of doing things using an older patchserver.  You will need to download the patch file as well.

I've emailed Philipp Schmidt about the problem.
Perhaps it is a server issue that he can resolve :)

Failing a reply , I will look at downloading the older server.

Thanks

PS.

I've just realised that I'm using Win7   and I see that all references to Win talk about XP.
I wonder if that's an issue ?
Should this work with Win 7 ?

I have a few XP pcs aswell . May try it with one of them :)

Success :)

I installed with the older Patch Server :)

using patch :   sharpfin-base_0.3.patch

The radio now opens in the browser.
When I tried to submit feedback I get this error:

Fout 404: de pagina /feedback.php kon niet worden gevonden.
Error 404: the page /feedback.php could not be found.
Erreur 404: La page /feedback.php n'est pas disponible.
Error 404: La página /feedback.php no existe.

Here is a solution for the redirect problem: http://recivarefuge.net/forum/index.php?topic=1283.msg15720#msg15720
