No Track Info on BBC Internet Radio Streams
« on: 01:50:26 | 17 October, 2018 »
Apologies if this has been asked before.

Is there a good reason why the BBC are resisting adding "current track playing info" across the board on their internet radio output?

It surely can't be a technical reason!

TIA Steve

Do you have a source for that information?

Maybe they just want you to use their iPlayer app?

It's only an observation from using one of my Pure Internet Radios (Evoke F4 or IR5)

For instance when tuned to BBC R2 using DAB - no problem... track listings all day long.... but when I use either radio in "internet" mode all I get is a bit of boring station info like "Amazing Music. Played by an amazing line up" ... not a hint of track info!

I can only assume the BBC would rather everyone uses the BBC radio app or website.

I pay my license I want my track info :-)
