Reciva IR100 - Network not Supported
« on: 09:54:30 | 17 July, 2019 »
I have just upgraded my home broadband via TalkTalk to a "Superfast Fibre".

The change involved me putting in a new Broadband Router, as supplied by TalkTalk.

I have 2 internet radios, one of which I was easily able to get working.

My older Internet Radio, a Reciva IR 100 is not so helpful.

While it appears to locate my new set-up when I scan for networks, when I try to select the network I get the response "Network Not Supported".

I appreciate that the Reciva radio is of some vintage at this stage, but is there anything I can do to give it a continued life?

From an earlier post on this forum (http://iradioforum.net/forum/index.php?topic=1684.msg15509#msg15509):

Only 11mbps 802.11b and 54mbps 802.11g wireless networks are supported by the IR100.  There is no support for pure 802.11n networks.  Most wireless N routers allow the owner to configure a 802.11b/g/n mode in which should be compatible with the IR100.

So if you go into the wireless settings page of your router, see if there is a 802.11b/g/n option.
