https://radios.reciva.com/streamer?stationid=9844&streamnumber=0

the CNN TV Audio stream plays fine on my C.Crane

but i can't get it to play on my computer, nor can i figure out how to determine the actual URL of the stream

as prep for Reciva going belly up, can someone please post the actual "CNN TV Audio" stream URL so i can add it into my new Ocean Digital internet radio.

thanks in advance.

The stream URL used by Reciva is http://tunein.streamguys1.com/cnn-new

thank you zeewier .. that CNN TV Audio stream plays on my PC via VLC : )) ..

i've had some success with URLSniffer & Fiddler to determine actual Stream URLs but i couldn't get these apps to show this CNN TV Audio stream.

Question:
The Reciva database is a gold mine of tens of thousands of internet radio Stream URLs.

When Reciva goes belly-up, does this gold mine just disappear?  This would be a huge shame.  Isn't there a way, the Stream URL data can be preserved for the public even if it's just in text format?

cheers from Toronto ..

I was able to retrieve the URL because I have edit rights to the Reciva database. However I am unable to say whether this database will cease to exist after January (or earlier) or whether there will still be a way to access it.

I used to have a script (10+ years ago) that retrieved the stream URLs and compared them with prior value so that I could check to see if the RSS feed of updates was working...

I'll try to find it again but no promises.
