I updated the webserver to v0.9 and the Sharpfin backup now appears to be working.

Good to here. I will include the dependency of the webserver (>= 0.8) and the filename bug fix in the next release.
Thanks for testing and reporting bugs.

I noticed that the look and feel of the GUI was different with v0.9 of the webserver.  Then I tried to manage presets and realised that the Enhancement Pack 2 was missing.  I tried to reinstall but get this error report

There was a problem downloading the installfile. Check the URL was correct. Are you sure it is a Sharpfin installfile?

Downloading Installation File: http://www.gforums.de/daten/sharpfin-ep2.install
killall: wget: no process killed
Connecting to www.gforums.de (194.116.187.14:80)
wget: short write
bunzip2: bunzip error -3
tar: can't open 'install.tar': No such file or directory

A browser is able to download the install file from gforums.de and 7-zip opens it OK.

Let's analyze this problem.Could you please issue the following commands, just to verify that everything is okay:
/bin/rm -f /tmp/install /tmp/install.tar.bz2
wget -O /tmp/install.tar.bz2 http://www.gforums.de/daten/sharpfin-ep2.install
(cd /tmp;bunzip2 install.tar.bz2)
(cd /tmp;tar xf install.tar)
/tmp/install/install-me

this is exactly what the web-interface does, and as far as I know (you could check it via github) I didn't changed the 'admin_Install_Install_Addon.cgi'.
Let me know where the problem lies.

If the wget does not work, please try to download other resources (e.g. any webpage just to check if there is a network problem etc).

Are we just running out of space?  nanndump has been added.  Is webserver 0.9 appreciably larger than 0.7?

Yes, we are "just" running out of space.
I would say that the minor changes in the webserver are not the root cause.
Try to check the /tmp/mtd-backup/ folder and remove the nanddumps not needed anymore and you may find other folders/files that you can remove...

Of course this may an issue for a "normal" user. But deleting nanddumps after first download may not be wanted. Hmmm...

Hope this resolves your problem. Then try via web first ... just to see if that still works (of course, hehe).

# cd mtd-backup/
# ls
data-mtd.bin'
# ls -l
-rw-r--r--    1 root     root     15298560 Jan  1 00:32 data-mtd.bin'
# rm data-mtd.bin\'

I was then able to install the Enhancement Pack 2 as an add-on.  However the list of Installed Apps now shows webserver 0.7 again but the backup facility does work  :).

Any way to get EP2 and webserver 0.9 to co-exist?

Any way to get EP2 and webserver 0.9 to co-exist?

That is exactly the problem that we face now:
The sharpfin packages (like sharpfin-webserver-0.9) of course tries to update the package (e.g. the webserver). On the other hand EP2 does replace the packages w/ some new features in the following way:
ipkg -force-reinstall install sharpfin-www_*_arm.ipk

i.e. it replaces the available version w/ the version provided in the EP2 install file.
Thus as of now a full co-existence is not possible in this way (and was not possible before).

We could plan to merge some features directly into the sharpfin packages, add additional "sharpfin-SOMETHING" package or rename the installed ipks s.t. there are no mutual replacements.

The reason why the backup still works should manly depend on the installation of sharpfin-nanddump.

Can I use this program (JTAG Operator v.0.4   http://depositfiles.com/files/rp36svbuu) for flashing and backing up under windows 7?

I flashed the new firmware. Nothing has changed. The same symbols on the screen and no response to button presses. Most likely I need a backup with any Lenco. I do not know what to do. Only you help me.

I'm not convinced that flasher knows about the every 33rd byte that should not be written.  Also it looks like an old program.  Does it know the parameters for the CPU and flash memory chips?  You could try it in read mode but be very careful.

If someone can tell me the Hardware ID (also called Product Code) of the Lenco 2100, I will check that its config file is included in the beta firmware.

I thought we had reports of the beta working OK on the Lenco 2100B.  Is that different from 2100?

Do the symbols on screen change at all when the radio boots?

Is the green LED on the Barracuda module flashing?

The beta firmware definitely has the hold down select and apply power method of doing a factory reset.  Try that again.

Is there a LED on the Wi-Fi stick?  Does it come on?

How long are your wires from the JTAG interface to the Barracuda module?

Try using Sharpflash to read one of the approx 1 Mbyte sections of the flash and compare the file with the one you wrote.

The Windows JTAG flasher probably won't run any faster than Sharpflash.

Lenco IR-2100, Lenco IR-2100W, Lenco IR-2100B is no different. This is one model. The last character means body color - W-white or B-black.

After switching on:
1. After 5 seconds turns the backlight
2. Burn all the horizontal character of the upper line for 10-20 seconds
3. Appear the upper and lower characters. The cursor moves to the bottom line.

4. After approximately 1 minute the screen goes blank, the backlight turns off.
5. After a few seconds the backlight turns on but the screen remains blank.
6. A minute later the screen goes off again, the lights go off.
And so the circle.
The green LED flashes on the board evenly, about 2 times per second.
When the screen goes blank, the frequency of blinking increases for some time. About 3 times a second.

The LED is lit on the board during firmware.
I spent a check for bad blocks before and after flashing. Bad blocks - 0.

What do you mean by ID? The serial number on the website reciva?

I tried to conduct a full reset several times. Hold down the Select about 2 minutes, when it pressed - power supply included. But nothing changes. The screen just goes blank immediately.

The Hardware ID (called Product Code in later firmwares) is one of the fields shown on the radio under Settings/Configuration, Version.  It is a number formed from the A to D conversion of two analogue voltages fed from the motherboard.  It tells the module what type of radio it is in and via the corresponding config file loads relevant settings and drivers.

I'm beginning to think your module has a hardware fault.

There is a chance that enough of the radio is working to get telnet access via Wi-Fi.  Partly by email and partly by PM I will send you the settings you need to make on your Wi-Fi Access Point to match what your radio with my backup is set to.
