Post by: Alan E Hill on 12:54:03 | 09 October, 2019
The latest Win10 update seems to have obliterated my LAN.

Anyone else?

No problems, fingers crossed, as the English say.  What version of windows?  I'm on 1903.

PS: Running an update checker which now says "Windows is unable to complete update. Will try later tonight".

The Windows 'Getting Help' page gave me this reply to update query:

Windows is up to date

It looks like all available updates are installed and your PC is up to date

I have 1903 on my main PC and on my laptop, but my wife's laptop has 1803. It tells me that on the one hand this version is nearing the end of support and I should upgrade, but on the other hand, when I seek an upgrade, that the system is up-to-date.

I discovered in update history that 1903 update had failed. I updated manually using:

I tried that... Got the 0xa0000400 error, still.

I might just totally reinstall...

I finally got windows 1903 to go thru. I had been having problems with 1803 failing all the time. I guess this latest update was a big one because it took forever to update
